DRAFT NOTICE FOR THE LONDON GAZETTE
WHEREAS by Article 4(2) of the China Order in Council
1943 (S.R. & C. 1943 No. 386) it is provided that the
Secretary of State shall cause to be published in the
London Gazette a notice of the date within six months
of which every "China Company" (as defined in Article 3
of the China Order in Council 1925 (3.R. & 0. 1925 No. 603
p. 379)) which has not at the said date been registered in
the manner provided in Article 4(1) of the China Order in
Council 1943, shall be registered with the Registrar of
Companies at Hong Kong and shall thereupon cease to
have its registered office in China:
AND WHEREAS the occupation of Shanghai by the military
forces of the Emperor of Japan has been terminated and a
Consulate of His Majesty has been re-established at Shanghai
and such provision as is necessary has been made by the law
of the Colony of Hong Kong for the registration there of
China companies, and for the application to such companies
of the Companies Ordinances of the Colony:
NOW THEREFORE His Majesty's Principal Secretary of
State for Foreign Affairs gives notice that the said date
shall be the 30th day of September, 1947.
