Rosary Hill, all damages and losses, etc. which occured while this building was a R.C.Home, were to be borne by the tenant. It is beyond a shadow of doubt that any damages or losses sustained by Rosary Hill after October 22, 1945, date at which it was handed over to the British Military Authori- ties, cannot be ascribed to the ICRC. We presume that an inventory of fixtures and state of repair was made out when you handed the building over to them.

We would be much obliged if you could inform us as soon as possible how matters stand at present and whether you have been approached by anybody on the subject since your return in China. Please also inform us of your negotiations in Hongkong, so that we may communicate any available information to the British Authorities forthwith.

With all our best wishes for the coming year, we beg to remain, dear Mr. Zindel

Yours sincerely.
