Officers.
Reference last sentence of paragraph
6 of my circular savingram of 18th May which
reads "Unless it is indicated to the contrary,
any appointments made will be counted against
existing vacancies already notified".
In
view of this, should be glad to know whether
three officers requested in paragraph (b) of
your telegram under reference are to count
against existing vacancies of which I have
not been notified; or whether last sentence
of your telegram applies to paragraph (b)
as well as to paragraph (c). If former is
