Mr. Creech Jones has, as I explained above, been in correspondence with the Governor on the matters raised in the petition and he now advises that His Majesty should direct a reply in terms that the King understands that legislation is being considered in the Colony to assure the pension rights of officers appointed from United Kingdom police forces other than the Metropolitan Police; and that His Majesty does not feel able to direct any further action in the matters dealt with in the petition.

Yours sincerely,

(Sgd.) N.D.WATSON.

Private Secretary.
