A reply was sent to the petitioners conveying the decision recorded in paragraph 2 of your despatch. They have since asked to be informed of the action being taken to assure their pension rights. An interim reply in this connection has been made to them. I should be grateful if you would endeavour to expedite the action suggested in paragraph 4 of my Confidential Staff Savingram No. 324 of 20th July, 1949.
