Dear MacDougal.
Further to my letter of the 3rd May enclosing a copy of a note of a meeting between Lord Listowel and Inspector Sheppard of the Hong Kong Police, I thin. that I should let you know that Inspector Sheppard has sent a very large collection of papers in support of his "caše". I have no doubt that his arguments are familiar to you in Hongong, and I am therefore retaining the papers here for the time being. I feel, however, that their existence makes it all the more necessary for us to know what the position is about the allegation to which I referred in my previous lotter.
Yours sincerely,
Private Secretary.
D.. MacDougal, Esq., C.".G.
