Your paragraph 2 retiring age of 45: I agree with your observations. Regarding service prior to 1.1.47 there is no foundation to the petitioners' allegation. Their service in the Colony prior to 1.1.47 is of course recognised and I can see nothing in the Salaries Commission's report which could have led anyone to take the contrary view.
