(14). On the 16th June last
Mr. Rees-Williams wrote to the Assistant Postmaster General (reference 54247/9/48) about representations made by
Mr. L. H. Winch concerning his position in the Hong Kong Police Force. Your Minister said that he was obtaining the observations of the Governor of Hong Kong on certain points and would write to Mr. Hobson again when they were received.
I wonder whether you have yet heard from the Governor about the matter.
Yours sincerely,
The Private Secretary to
D. K. Rees-Williams, Esq., M.P.
