That the Salaries Report was not accurate where in Chapter II paragraph 11 it is stated " Since the re-occupation of the Colony in September 1945 the salary scales existing in December 1941, have, in general, been retained throughout the publis service, with the exception of those non-gazetted officers in the Police whose salaries were revised during 1946." That in fact the 1946 scales of salary are the same as the 1941 except that under the earlier scale a recruit on joining ( at say 19 years of age) received £190 with increments which brought his salary to 260 when he was 26 years of age whereas under the 1946 scale all recruits received an initial salary of £260 as from the age of 26 years and increments for every year above that age That increments are still on the 1941 scale
