or reconsider those options.

(ii) that officers can be given a choice only between their old terms and the new and that no adjustment of emoluments can be granted to officers who elect to remain on their old terms.

(iii) that the existing revised scales of basic pay cannot be increased but that the cost of living allowance will be periodically revised in the light of conditions prevailing in the Colony.

(iv) that it is not considered desirable to increase the existing rates of expatriation pay.

(v) that adequate consideration has already been taken of previous Police service in the United Kingdom in assessing the initial salaries of officers appointed from United Kingdom Police Forces since 1945.

(vi) that the pension rights of officers temporarily transferred from the Metropolitan Police Force have already been safeguarded.

(vii) that negotiations are in progress with the Home Office and the various County authorities in regard to the pension rights of officers appointed since 1945 from other United Kingdom Police Forces and that the officers concerned will be informed of the of the outcome of the se negotiations in due course.
