King from the European Inspectors
Association of the Hong Kong Police, I am.
generally concerned as to whether the
emoluments received by those officers
are in fact sufficient to enable them to
maintain a standard of living to which
they have been accustomed, or might
reasonably expect judged by present-day
standards. The revised scales, inclusive
of expatriation pay and cost of living
allowances, are as follows:-
For the single officer, minimum

For the married

FURTHER ACTION.
Allowing for the fact that the average officer would have received several increments before getting married, it may perhaps be assumed that his pay would not be less than £750 per annum. Even so it seems to me that with the present high cost of living in Hong Kong he would have
