Dear Private Secretary,
With further reference to your
letter of the 9th September about a
petition from the Water Police Station,
Kowloon, I have now had these papers
looked up by the department concerned,
and find that, no representations of later
date than September and October 1946 have
been received here from the Water
Police Station, Kowloon. These
representations were dealt with at the
time.
It would seem likely therefore that
the copy of the present petition which
you mention as having been sent to
Mr. Creech Jones by the post-war
transfers from police forces of the
United Kingdom has been correctly
submitted through the authorities in
Hong Kong and is being looked into there
before being sent on with the Governor's
comments.
Copies of this correspondence are
being sent to the Governor.
Yours sincerely,
