I have issued amended option forms to the five locally promoted Assistant Superintendents of Police offering the salary revision shown on the attached table, but Mr. L.R. Whant will not be permitted to proceed beyond the maximum of the scale for Assistant Superintendents until you confirm that his retrospective promotion to Superintendent is approved.

I should also be grateful for your advice as to whether a reassessment of incremental credit on the revised scale for Assistant Superintendents should be made in respect of gazetted officers transferred from the Palestine Police.
