When a non-gazetted officer on the new scales is
promoted to gazetted rank the following rules will determine
his point of entry on the new scales for gazetted officers.
Sub-Inspectors on $550 p.m. or less will enter

at $640. On his next incremental date he will
go to $720, subject to his having satisfactorily
completed one year's probation as A.S.P.
A Sub-Inspector on $575 or over or an Inspector
will enter two points above the point on the
A.S.P. scale equivalent to his salary as a non-
gazetted officer, or above the next highest
point to his salary as a non-gazetted officer,
if there is no equivalent point. He will
proceed to the next point on his next incremental
date provided he has satisfactorily completed one
year's probation as an A.S.P.
A Chief Inspector will enter the A.S. P. scale on
the following points.
If his salary as Chief Inspector is :-
1080 he will enter at 1120 on A.S.P. Scale.
