Hazlerigg continues to serve as a member.

Since the original establishment of the
Mr.
Committee I have appointed Mr. C. J. Colman, Chairman-designate
of the Hong Kong Port Trust, as an additional member in view
of his wide experience of port development matters.
5.
The duties of the Committee are to assist in
the preparation of a comprehensive plan for the development
of the Colony under the terms of the Colonial Development
and Welfare Act and in accordance with the instructions
contained in the circular despɛtoh referred to in paragraph
1 above, and to examine certain draft schemes which have been
put forward in connection with the allotment to this Colony
of funds under the provisions of the Act.
6.
As requested in the circular savingram under
reference, I will keep you informed of any changes in the
constitution of the Committee and of its recommendations as
soon as they have been formulated.
