(2) and 5 of your savingram No.28 of 12 January

for providing from U.K. funds H.K. 4 million
towards capital rehabilitation expenditure
and H.K. 1 million towards recurrent
expenditure in 1948/49. Presume that only
part of capital grant will be required in
48/49.
2. No repeat no objection to Court being
informed of above financial arrangements
but I hope that you will be able to defer
for present explanation of decision regarding Advisory Committee's main proposal
so that when it is given it will be in line
with terms of public statement, as finally
settled.
