Article appeared in "Time" of 2nd June, No official statement was iesued regarding it but attention of "Pime a* was drawn informally to following points:-
(a) a passage alleging indecision by His Majesty's Government on the airport question, ignorea Secretary of State's announcement in House of Commone on 26th April regarding offer of interest-free lean.
(b) it was pointed out that the reference in the article to lease of the island expiring in 1997 is incorrect since island is ceded territory.
(c) it was indicated that statement that elected municipal council wees imposed by Colonial Office against the wishes of the Colonial Government was not in accordance with the facts.
