Registration Rules
Form of Register
The register shall be framed in separate parts
(a) as to electors not of Chinese race, as a register
for the whole of the Municipality, or as separate
registers for each electoral division into which
the same may from time to time hereafter be
divided, for the purpose of elections by such
persons, and
(b) as to electors of Chinese race, as separate
registers for each ward or other electoral
division into which the Mumicipality may from
time to time be divided for the purpose of
elections by such persons.
2. Where there is more than one polling district in any
constituency, the register for that constituency shall be so
sub-divided as, in the opinion of the registration officer, to
give all electors in the constituency the most reasonable
facilities for voting practicable in the circumstances.

(1) In the registers for electors not of Chinese race,
the names of the electors shall be arranged in alphabetical order,
unless the Council consider that having regard to the general
character of the area of any constituency or part thereof
arrangement in street order is possible and convenient.
(2) In the registers for electors of Chinese race, the
names of the electors shall be arranged in street order, unless
the Council consider that having regard to the general character
of the area of any constituency or part thereof arrangement in
street order is impracticable or inconvenient.
(3) The Council may, when in their opinion the circumstances
so require, direct that the names of electors in any register or
part of a register be arranged in such manner other than the
foregoing as the Council shall think fit.
