(b) an unofficial member of the Executive or
Legislative Council; or
(o) a barrister or solicitor in actual practice or
the clerk of a solicitor in actual practice; or
(d) a person registered under Section 4 of the Medical
Registration Ordinance, 1935, or under the Dentistry
Ordinance, 1914, or under the Pharmacy and Poisons
Ordinance, 1937, or any Ordinances amending the said
Ordinances or substituted therefor, or a person who
is a member of the Royal College of Veterinary
Surgeons of Great Britain or a person holding the
diploma of such British or foreign veterinary
institution or examining body as may be approved by
the Governor; or
(e) the editor or sub-editor of a daily newspaper
published in the Colony; or
(f) a clergyman of the Church of England, Roman Catholic
priest or minister of any other Christian congregation
or of any Jewish congregation functioning in the
Colony; or
(g) a professor, lecturer or other academic officer of
the University of Hong Kong; or
(h) the master of a school which is certified by the
Director of Education as not being a vernacular
school; or
(1) a certificated officer of the British Mercantile
Marine or a pilot licensed in Hong Kong; or
(j) an officer, warrant officer or non-commissioned
officer or other member of the Hong Kong Volunteer
Defence Corps, the Hong Kong Naval Volunteer Force,
the Hong Kong Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve; or
(k) a person holding any office or situation of emolument
under the Crown or the Council, and whose whole time
is at the disposal of the Crown or the Council, as the
case may be.
