regulating and managing the discharge of any such

functions as aforesaid and may delegate to any such

committee or joint committee, with or without restrictions

or conditions, as they think fit, any functions which the

Council might discharge except the power of levying; or

issuing a precept for, a rate, or borrowing money, and the

provisions of Part IV of this Ordinance shall apply to any

committee or joint committee so appointed with such

modifications, if any, as the case may require.

(3) An officer of or person employed by the Council

when acting in the course of his duties in furtherance of

the discharge of any such functions as aforesaid in any

such place or places outside the Municipality, shall have

all the functions and may exercise all the powers which he

would have or might exercise when acting in the course of

like duties within the Municipality.

(4) The expenses incurred by the Council in complying

with a request made under sub-section (1) of this section

shall be defrayed by the Government.

(5) In determining the amount of the expenses

incurred by the Council a proper proportion of the cost af

the officets and buildings and establishment of the Council

may be added to the expenses directly incurred in complying

with the request.

(6) In case of any disagreement as to such expenses,

the same shall be referred to the Legislative Council for

determination.
