Pending the arrival of the Hon. Mr. Hazlerigg who was unavoidably delayed, with the consent of the Meeting,
Mr. W. M. Thomson assumed the Chair while the matters recorded in Minutes 2, 3 and 4 were dealt with.
MINUTES.
It was agreed that the Minutes of the Third Meeting, amended to record in Minute 2 Mr. Colman's view that representation on the Port Trust of the Municipal Council should be on the basis of reciprocal arrangements, be signed by the Chairman.

PAPERS.
Representation No.8 from Mr. Lau Tak Po, Hong Kong & Yaumati Ferry Co. Ltd., was laid upon the table.
4. RESPONSE TO THE INVITATION TO MAKE
REPRESENTATIONS TO THE COMMITTEE.
The Chairman reported that as yet replies had not been received from 35 persons (including the General Chamber of Commerce) to whom the letter inviting representations and dated 23rd September had been addressed.
It was agreed that a further letter should be sent to them asking whether it was their intention to express their views to the Committee.
