I am directed to inform
you that three posts of Bub- Inspector of Police are vacant under the Goverment of Hong Kong and to ask if you will kindly take steps to select and appoint suitable candidates.
2. It is understood that
Mr. D.W. MacIntosh, Commissioner of Police Hong Kong, who is at
present on leave in this country, is in a position to recommend to you three such candidates who wish to serve in Hong Kong. You will therefore no doubt wish to consult him for further details and I am to state that his present address is as follows:-
