It has not proved possible to arrange for police officers to be flown to Calcutta, Arrangements have however been made to provide air paseages for sixty officers on U.C.S. Service to Singapore. This Service operates five times weekly and six officers will be carried on each aircraft for a fortnight, beginning Tussday 28th January. A.0.8.B.A. have been asked to make, in consultation with you, necessary arrangements, for onward transport to Hong Kong.

Names of officers and details of flights will be telegraphed as soon as confirmed.

A few more police officere will be flown to Hong Fong direct on Dragon Service, and 20 are being provided with passages on "RANCHI"

I hope that Governor Singapore will be able to arrange accommodation for any officers delayed there whilst awaiting onward transport to Eong Kong,
