Dear Miss Ruston,
I have sent over to you separately a copy of the Government of India's telegrain No. 1088, on the subject of the recruitment of Punjabi Muhummadans for the Hong-Kong Police. The reference in the telegram is to the letter with which we sent the Government of India the proposals
(39) in your letter of the 18th December, No. 54144/3/46.
No doubt you are informing the other Departments in the Colonial Office who may be concerned in this ban on the employment of Indians as policemen in "foreign" Countries.
Yours sincerely,
Przewinst.
Miss A.M. Ruston,
Colonial Office,
S.W.1.
