With reference to Rowan Walker's letter dated 3rd February, 1949, of even number, with which he enclosed a note from the Exchequer & Audit Department, regarding the cost operating certain Electricity companies in Hong Kong during the B.M.A. period, and the estion of accrued pay referred to in para. 17 of the Accountant General's report on the accounts, I shall be glad to know if you have yet received a reply from the Governor of Hong Kong.
