Scuttled in Kowloon Bay. Salvaged by Japs. and later sunk. No trace now.
Nos. 23-25 were owned by the Anglo-Chinese S. Co. Ltd.; Nos. 26 27 by the Mollerlane Ltd.
27 by the Mollerlanc Ltd. Mollers claim that those five vessels were under orders to proceed to Calcutta on requisition to M.O.T. and had reached H.K. immediately prior to 8th December, 1941. They wore scuttled in Hong Kong on various dates between 11th and 15th December, 1941, on the instructions of the Harbour Master. There is no ovidence as yet whether they were in a condition to attempt an escape,
Mollers also include in their claim the ELSIE MOLLER. G.R.T., Built ? owner Anglo-Chinose S. Co. Ltd., Company's valuation £16,411, M.O.T. valuation 811,500 but as this vessel was seized off Amoy on her way to Hong Kong, it is clear that any potential claim, other than that against M.O.T. arises in connection with reparations and not denial action.
(iii) Vessels known not to have been insured at the time for loss by denial action.
