No other Naval settlements have come to light but the list is not necessarily exhaustive. It is known that the actual number of craft requisitioned in December 1941 was in the nature of 40. There is certainly a potential claim for other requisitioned craft and the total claim might amount to something in the order of $2,500,000, exclusive of interest. It is notable that the claims of Butterfield & Swire and of the C.P. R. Companies do not contain any reference to requisitioning of their launches, some of which must certainly have been taken. In other cases vessels are stated to have been "seized", presumably by the Japanese, but this may be a loose expression for roquisition by British authorities.
