Now operating again in Hong Kong Rehabilitation Claim?
The H.K. Yaumati Ferry Co. has at least two other vessols now in service, the MAN YEUNG and the MAN TO, for which no claims have been mado, while the Star Ferry Co., possesses 53 other ferries for which no clains have been made, but in regard to which some claim is almost certainly valid.
The total potential claim so far notified amounts to a little over $3,600,000, but might, if the Star Ferry Co.'s clain is later increased, amount to perhaps another $1,000,000. Whether or not the actual claims are as large as those figures will depend on the cost of salvage or rehabilitation, on which no figures are available.
(iii) Smaller Craft claimed by owners to have been requisitioned, according to Lists in possession of the Marine Department.
