Compensation for icquisitioned Craft

Encl. to (93) Thank you for your letter AT/Gen.13127 of the 30th October.

I think perhaps it is sufficient for me to say that your approach to the question of compensation for loss of ships is different from our approach to vehícles destroyed in similar

circumstances.

There are no doubt good resons for the difference sad wo shall be happy to leave the question of liability to the Adairsity's and your legal experta as suggested in Robertson's letter to Haigh (92). of the 28th October, a copy of which was sent to us.

I am copying this to admiralty, war Office, Treasury and Colonial Office.

Yours sincerely,
