With reference to Lord Crewe's despatch No.14 of 22nd vide

January, 1909, I have the honour to request your approval for the sale → 1908
by private treaty to the representatives of Fanling Village, New
Territories, of a lot of land of approximately 3,000 square feet on a
75 year lease from 1st July, 1898, with the right of renewal for a
further term of 24 years, for the purpose of erecting a temple.
2.
The Land Officer has certified that to the best of his
knowledge there is no probability of competition and that no person
other than the applicants is interested. The development of the area
will not be hindered in any way by the erection of this temple.
3.
I attach an extract from the petition received by the
District Officer on this subject.
