We have tried advertisement in professional journals, but I do not care for this method of recruitment myself. Our advertisements have not brought us many good candidates and the great disadvantage is that, having advertised a post, we are unable to fill it for some months, even if we have a man admirably suited for the vacancy, because it is essential to wait until the last date for applications has passed and then to consider everyone who applies.
I am grateful to you for drawing my attention to the article in the Law Times, which I had not seen. It contains 'several statements, nearly all prejudicial to recruitment,
which are quite untrue to-day and I am considering what can be done to repair the damage.
