CONDITIONS OF SERVICE.

A seven day week and an eight hour day calculated from
the time a ferry goes into service to the time she goes
off.
Overtime will be paid, as from a full eight hours at
time and a half, i.e. 50% over the ordinary hourly
basic pay plus Ferry Passenger Carrying Allowance
where payable, if workmen are called upon to work in
excess of a nine hour day. Time under half an hour
to count as half an hour. Time over half an hour and
under one hour to count as one hour.

Leave:
Two days per month in lieu of Sundays plus eighteen
days per annum, at the Company's convenience.
management reserve the right to anticipate or postpone
the granting of any holiday and to grant a similar
period at another time.

Note:
Holidays when granted must be taken as holidays.
Sick Leave (a) Over twelve months' service and under ten years
basic pay plus all allowances for four weeks in each
year and thereafter, in that year, at the discretion
of the management.
(b) Over ten years' service
basic pay plus all allowances
for three months, and half such amount for a further
three months each year.
Note: Sick leave will be granted only on the production of
a medical certificate issued by a specified medical
practitioner, and such certificate must be produced
on the first day of illness, and renewed as necessary.
