Instruction in practical hygiene with special relation to local condi-

tions shall form part of the curriculum in all schools.

Provision shall be made in the curriculum for the teaching of Art,

Handwork and Music or Singing, except in special circumstances and with the

approval of the Director.

Infant Classes and Standards shall be recognized only if they partake

of the nature of "Kindergarten" and are suitably equipped and taught as such.

In every school there must be a time-table showing:-

(a) The time of opening and closing of the school.

(b) The time of the instruction given in each subject of the

curriculum.

(c) The place, if other than the ordinary premises, of any

secular instruction.

(ii) A time-table for each class giving the details required under

sub-sections (a) & (b) above shall be hung up in each classroom

All schools are required to follow the regulations made by the

Governor-in-Council under the Education Ordinance.

Every Principal shall keep a Log Book in which shall be entered:-

(a) Such events as the introduction of new books, equipment

and apparatus or course of instruction.

(b) Any plan of lessons approved by the Director.

(c) The visits of the Director or the Correspondent.

(a) Absence or failure of duty on the part of any member of the

school staff.

(e) Any special circumstances affecting the school that may, for

the sake of future reference, or for any other reason, deserve to

be recorded.

(f) Any report made by the Director and any remarks made upon it

by the Government. This must be signed by the Correspondent.

(g) All holidays including any half-holidays or curtailments of

school hours, given to the whole school or any section of it.
