(a) Miss Margaret Brunt Mansfield is mentioned in your detailed list as being eligible for an overseas allowance, but her name does not appear in the general statement.

The maximum salary of several European Graduate Mistresses is given as £468 which is four increments above the maximum in the Burnham scale. The most that is allowed by para. 4(b) is three increments.

(f) The total increase shown in the statement enclosed in your letter is £713 per annum. As however some officers are not on their maximum salaries, we presume that the total additional cost is potentially rather larger.
