General Orders of the Hong Kong Government
Owing to the loss of prewar records would be grateful for copies of any correspon- dence leading up to the second amendment of G.0. 90(4) made by G.O. Amendment No. 69 of 11.1.40 which reads:-
"No officer shall be entitled to draw
acting pay unless he acts continuously for thirty days in an office or offices for the performance of the duties of which he would in all other respects be eligible for acting pay under the rules contained in G.O. 90(2)(b) or 3.0. 90(3)".
It is considered that further amend- ment may be required.
