1. In view of arguments adduced in
your savingram I now approve basic
salary scales for Masters and Mistresses
as recommended by Salaries Commission on
understanding that initial salary of
$800 per month is payable only to officer
with at least 3 years' practical teaching
experience in addition to normal
qualifications.
2. Your suggestion that where it
is necessary to recruit a candidate in
this country without previous experience
he should be appointed on non-incremtal
salary of $720 per month on a three-year
agreement is being examined.
3. Proposals in paras. 6 and 7 of
your savingram approved.
