The relevant section in the Report of the Burnham Committee on Scales of Salaries for Teachers in Establishments for Further Education appears in Appendix IV, I, pages 21, 22, and 23. As far as a technical officer is concerned, the following qualifications entitle a teacher to be classed as a graduate:-
Science and Technology
(i) Associateship of the Royal College of
Science (London.)
(ii) Associateship of the Royal College of
Science (Ireland).
(iii) Associateship of the City and Guilds of
London Institute.
(iv) Associateship of the Royal School of
Mines.
(v) Whitworth Scholarship if gained between
1887 and 1922.
Associated membership of the following Institutions -
The Institution of Civil Engineers;
The Institution of Mechanical Engineers;
The Institution of Electrical Engineers.
