A copy of our telegram No. 309 to Hong Kong (which we discussed over the phone before it issued) has been sent you. The subject was the exchange arrangements for payment of pension and leave salary for Hong Kong expatriate officers about to convert from sterling to dollar salaries.
I now send for your record copies of Governor Hong Kong's Secret despatch No. 8 of the 6th February and of his telegram No. 240 of the 1st March, which I mentioned to you.
