The Mumble Petition of N.T. Sung and

C.W. Chan, representatives of the Lady

Members of the Hong Kong Civil Service

Your Petitioners respectfully sheweth:-

Your Petitioners are representatives of the Lady Members of

the Hong Kong Civil Service Chinese Association.

On or about the 15th day of September, 1948 Your Petitioners

submitted an application to the Honourable, The Colonial Secretary, Hong Kong praying that the Government of Hong Kong would raise the

salaries of Women Civil Servants to that of the opposit sex, or at

least for a revision of their salaries. The said application reads

as follows :-
