PARAGRAPH 153 Length of Tour of Service
I can see no objection to reducing the length of tour from four to throu years in the case of an officer who has attained the age of 40 years and has completed ten years scrvico.
PARAGRAPHS 157 and 158 Sick Leave
Generally speaking, most Colonies provide for six months sick leave with full-pay, followed by six months with half-pay, if there appears to be a reasonable chance that the officer will recover his health sufficiently to enable him to rusuno his duties. There are procedents for officers suffering from tuberculosis, having more generous treatment, i.c. 12 months sick leave on full-pay, but, so far as I am aware, this is not provided for in any Regulations.
