maximum was rather high.
Recommendation
Dr. Sloss stated that the pay of this post was
fixed after two interviews with the Director of
Development, and that it relates to Home salaries for
trained men. C.S.D. accept this without comment.
5. Airport Officers, grades 1 and 2.
These are new posts. Grade 1 is on the
scale ₤900 -₤1220(for expatriate officers) and Grade 2 is on the scale ₤665 -₤1040 (for expatriate officers)
was suggested that the over-lapping scales should be
avoided if possible.
Recommendation
It
Dr. Sloss cannot recall why over-lapping scales were
proposed but the same point arises in the case of
Air Traffic Control Officers, and the reason is
probably the same. C.S.D. suggests, therefore, that
the Governor should be informed that the scales should
be adjusted as soon as possible in order to avoid
over-lapping.

officers. It was suggested that the minimum of the
new scale was rather high.
