Points regarding basic salaries, in additio:
to the administrative scale, on which I have doubts and
on which I shall shortly be communicating with you
in more detail, are as follows:-**
(a) Auditors, Agricultural Officers, Forestry
Officers, Fisheries Research Officers, Mucation Officers.
Point - Whether scales for these should not
start at $720 like Administrative scale with
provision for entry higher up the scale if
certain qualifications present.
(b) Airport Officers and Air Traffic
Control Officers: Grades I and II
Point - Possibility of adjusting scales ao aa
to avoid overlapping.
(c) Labour Commissioner
Point Preferability of a fixed salary to a
scale.
(a) Prisons Officers
Point Maxima of Superintendent and Assistant
Superintendent scales appear too high in
comparison with maxima of Police Superintendent
and Assistant Superintendent scales.

Point Whether allowance proposed should not
