Points regarding basic salaries, in addition
to the administrative scale, on which I have doubts and
on which I shall shortly be communicating with you
in more detail, are as follows1-
(4 533)
(a) Auditors, Agricultural Officers, Forestry Officers Fisheries Research Officers,
"“ducation Officers.
Point Whether scales for these should not
start at $720 like Administrative ocale with
provision for entry higher up the scale if
certain qualifications present.
(b) Airport Officers and Air Traffic
Control Officers: Grades I and
Point Possibility of adjusting acales 80 as
to avoid overlapping.
(c) Labour Commissioner
Point Preferability of a fixed salary to a
scale.
(d) Prisons Officers
Point Maxima of Superintendent and Assistant
Superintendent scales appear too high in
comparison with maxima of Police Superintendent
and Assistant Superintendent scales.
(e) Sister Tutors
Point - hether allowance proposed should not
be pensionable and merged into salary scale. (r) Nursing sisters and Senior Nursing Sisters
Point - hether the two separate grades should
not be abolished and nursing listers be placed
on one long scale with minimum and maximum as
proposed by Comission for Nursing Sisters
