Paint (e). I agree that Sister Tutor allowance should be abolished and that scale for Quelifled Sister Tutor should commence at £700 per mensem, rising to maximum of $860 per month,
Point (f) I am not in favour of substitution of efficiency bar for promotion bar between Nursing Sister end Senior Nursing gistor Orades úntil it has been shown more clearly how locul Nursing Sisters will be able to rise to the responsibilities of the higher grade. I suggest that the position should be reviewed in five years tine.
Point (g) In view of the varying number of befin small hospitals, the proposals made by the Salaries Commiselo: are more adaptable to local conditions than would be a fixed scale for Assistant lietrops..
Point (h). The basic salary scales Por Principal Matron and Matron, Grade I, correspond very closely to the Rushcliffe recommendations for a Matron, 1.000 bede and ove 13 and 599 beds respectively. As basic ecules for local Nurse¬ who are entitled to register in England have been fixed according to the Rushcliffe scales, it is reasonable that the basic salaries of thege two officers should also correspond and I am strongly in favour of the rates recommendet. The Gre Matron, Hong Kong, who is in charge of Queen Mary's Hospital, appears to have similar responsibilities to Matron, General Hospital, Singapore, and not to a Grade I Meton 25 malaya, Different uses qử similar titles in Malaye and Hong Kong and the absence of the Senior Nursing Sister grade in Malaya tend to accentuate the difference in the two Comunierlang recommendations,
