As no observations on recommendations
in paragraph 3 of your telegram have been
received from Malayan Governments I presume
they have none.
Subject therefore to no comments
being received from Malayan Governments
within seven days I approve your proposal
to restrict 2231 platform to basic salaries
between £1156 and £1275 and to introduce
a new platform of £250 for basic salaries
between $1276 and £1400.
