Cost of living allowance.
1. I approve extension of atendard rate of cost of living allowing as 14425 per mensen (2318.15.00. per annum), already sauctioned for bagic salaries between 3750 aud 21,125 per annum, to all basic salaries above B, laj per
gante.
2. This approval is subject to clear warning being given that retc will be reviewed by lot July, 1940, and that Do (repeat no) guarantee can be given that Board of Review will not recommed introduction of a tapering scale of allowances on salaries above a certain polat or complete disappeernone of the allowance on nigber salary ruigao,
3.
