Your confidential savingram No.980 of 30th December, 1947. Salaries Commission. Point (a). I agree that time scale for Auditors, Agricultural Officers, Forestry Officers and Fisheries Research Officers should start at $720 like Administrative scale with provision for entry higher up the scale if certain qualifications are present. If modification of Administrative scale proposed in my
(244) telegram No.376 is approved, I recommend that scales for professional
branches named above and Labour Officers should also be $720 for two years and $800 in the third year.
2.
Modification of scale for Assistant Agricultural Officers will also be necessary. I suggest $400 for two years then $425, $450, $480 by $40 to $680 with efficiency bar between $520 and $560.
