An effect of the scale you
viz. a 19-year scale as follows:
$720 for two years, then
$800 x 40 to $1000, then $1180 x 60
to $1420 x 80 to $1900.
would be that t total pensionable
emoluments (basic salary plus
expatriation pay) of an Administrative
Officer would rise from £815 per annum
at
and the end of the sixth year to
£1,095 per annum at the end of the ninth
year, a total increase over three years
of £280 per annum. Further, the officer
would be receiving at the end of his
ninth year total pensionable emoluments
of £1,095 per annum, whereas under
the proposals of a Salaries
Commission (read with the rates of
expatration pay as finally approved)
he would not have reached this figure
