I regret that reference in my savingram No.980 of 30th December, 1947 to provision for incremental credit on the auditor scale if a candidate had certain
qualifications was made in error.

Auditors do not in fact require any additional post graduate training or higher qualifications that would justify entry above the minimum of the scale.
