I think that we may now approve the
48
proposal in No.276 to increase the number of Class I posts to 9, mentioning that it is understood that the post of Secretary for Development which would be classified as a Class I post is to remain unfilled for the time being.
We cannot dispute the views of the Governor that the posts mentioned in paragraph 3 of his letter should be Class I posts. In fact, C.S.D. would strongly support the proposal to rank the Establishment Officer as a Class I appointment.
